My family loves chocolate EVERYTHING! So with that said we always have homemade chocolate chip cookies in the house at all times. I love this recipe because it makes 3 dozen cookies. Normally I make the dough and separate it into 3 bags and freeze them. That way we can have homemade cookies whenever we want!
2 1/3 Cup Flour
1tsp baking soda
2 Sticks Butter *1cup
3/4 Brown Sugar
2 Cups Chocolate Chips
4tbsp Kahlua (Secret Ingredients)
*Place dough in refrigerator for 1 hour before cooking.
Mix all dry ingredients first (flour, baking soda, salt, sugar and brown sugar). After dry ingredients are mixed add softened butter. My favorite tool to use is a Dough Cutter. It works so well for separating the butter into small pieces.
Then add wet ingredients (eggs, kahlua and vanilla) blend with a Stand Mixer or hand held. Should come to a dough consistency in under a minute.
Then fold in the chocolate chips.
Place in fridge for 30 minutes.
When you are ready to cook, preheat oven to 350. While the oven is preheating line your cookie sheet with parchment paper.
I find it so much easier to use a cookie scoop for the scooping out the dough. Less of a mess and cookies will all be the same size and cook evenly.
Place to uncooked dough balls about 2 inches apart so as not to create one EXTRA large cookie.
Cook 9-12 minutes. Everyone’s oven cooks differently so I would check cookies at 9 minutes.
These cookie are so delicious and do not dry out. I promise you will have them in your freezer year round.
